Baubo Hoodie

Kind of Cultured is inspired by our favourite profanity - the c word.

It’s a word full of power, humour and feminine energy. A word that is ever evolving, but always harbouring a powerful force. A word that originally was a clinical descriptor, slowly evolving into a fearful, whispered insult, and now defiantly hollered as a compliment - or a way to address a group of friends if you’re Scottish. It feels good to say - starting from a guttural place in the back of your mouth, and ending with a little kick in the teeth. And if anyone has an issue, you can just tell them that ‘Chaucer wrote it down, so anyone who’s a little bit precious about it, it’s very cultured’ in the words of Olivia Coleman, 2024.

A black drawstring hoodie with embroidered ‘Kind of Cultured’ logo on the front, and graphic print on the back reading:

An image of a terracotta figurine of Baubo from the fourth century AD, Priene, Ancient Greece.

Anasyrma composed of ana "up, against, back", and syrma "a dragging motion"; is the gesture of lifting the skirt or kilt. It is used in connection with certain religious rituals, eroticism, and lewd jokes (see, for example, Baubo).

And of course, the enlarged print of Baubo, our beloved mascot of the Kind Of Cultured drop, showing us her ****.
